No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Detoxification and Amoxicillin in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Detoxification and Amoxicillin

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Amoxicillin and Detoxification in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Detoxification at all — not against Amoxicillin, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Detoxification safety at a glance

Detoxification overall Use caution Mild teas are usually low-risk, but aggressive cleanses, laxatives, and colon procedures can cause real harm.
Pregnancy Avoid Detox products, fasting, and laxative-based cleanses are not recommended during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding Avoid Cleanses and herbal detox blends are best avoided while breastfeeding due to unknown safety.

Safety guidance is general; always confirm with your pharmacist or doctor for your situation.

What Detoxification Itself Has Been Linked To

This is not an interaction — nothing below involves Amoxicillin. It is the side-effect record for Detoxification on its own, from the licensed Natural Medicines monograph. If something new turns up after you add Detoxification, this list is the first place to look. 4 entries are worth acting on rather than waiting out — marked below.

“The safety and adverse effects of detoxification depend on the method and substances used. Most information available on potential adverse effects is based only on anecdotal reports.

Orally, detoxification regimens that involve high fiber intake can cause constipation. Regimens that involve the use of laxatives can cause diarrhea.”

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Amoxicillin page

“Amoxicillin, one of the most commonly prescribed antibiotics, has 96 supplement and herbal ingredients flagged against it, and six carry a major rating, which puts this list in the read-carefully category. The serious entries mostly add strain to organs the drug already touches.”

About Detoxification

What is Detoxification?

  • Perceived cleansing of toxins
  • Weight loss support
  • Boosting energy
  • Improving digestion
  • Clearer skin
  • Post-holiday or post-alcohol 'reset'

"Detoxification" supplements and cleanses are marketed to flush toxins from the body, but your liver, kidneys, lungs, and gut already do this job well in healthy people. There is little solid evidence that commercial detox products remove toxins or improve health, and some can cause side effects or even harm. If you are concerned about a real toxic exposure, talk to a doctor rather than relying on a detox product.

Teas, juice cleanses, capsules, powders, liquid drops, foot pads, enemas/colon cleanses, supplement 'detox kits'

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Detoxification is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Detoxification record says about it on its own.

Detoxification: dosing

There is no standardized or proven dose for "detoxification" because it is not a single ingredient and the products vary widely. There is also no medically established detox "protocol" for healthy people who are not facing a real toxic exposure. If you choose to try a commercial detox product, follow the label directions exactly and do not exceed them, especially for products containing laxatives or stimulant herbs. Avoid long fasts and repeated cleanses. Drink enough fluids, and stop if you feel unwell.A pharmacist can help you read the ingredient list, spot risky herbs, and decide whether a product is appropriate for you and your medications.

About Amoxicillin

What Is Amoxicillin Used For?

Brand names: Amoxil Capsules, Trimox, Wymox, Amix, Amoram, Amoxident, Galenamox, Rimoxallin, Amoxil Injection

Amoxicillin treats bacterial infections in both adults and children, including ear, nose, and throat infections; lower respiratory tract infections; skin and skin structure infections; and genitourinary tract infections.

In adults only, amoxicillin is also used — always combined with other medications — to eradicate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), the bacteria behind duodenal ulcers. Getting rid of H. pylori has been shown to reduce the chance of those ulcers coming back. It is only effective against bacteria that are susceptible to it and will not work against viral infections like the common cold or flu.
