Glossy Privet + Belinostat
Belinostat brand name: Beleodaq.
We found no known interaction between Glossy Privet and Belinostat in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Glossy Privet and Belinostat
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Belinostat and Glossy Privet in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Belinostat
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Belinostat is filed under 4 classifications — including cytochrome p450 2c9 (cyp2c9) inhibitors, glucuronidated drugs, p-glycoprotein substrates. Glossy Privet has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being lithium (moderate) — and none of Belinostat’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

The most serious there right now: Beer (major), Siberian Cocklebur (major), St. John's Wort (major), Wine (major) and Ashwagandha (moderate).
By severity: 4 major · 73 moderate · 6 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Belinostat page
“Belinostat (Beleodaq) is chemotherapy for peripheral T-cell lymphoma, and the 83 supplement interactions on record for it deserve real scrutiny, not a skim. Four rate major, and they cluster around two dangers.”

About Glossy Privet
What is Glossy Privet?
- Liver and kidney support in traditional medicine
- Immune support
- Anti-aging and general tonic
- Blurred vision and dizziness
- Premature graying of hair
Glossy Privet (Ligustrum lucidum) is a fruit long used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, often combined with other herbs as a liver and kidney 'tonic.' Most of the research is from laboratory and animal studies, so its benefits in people are not well proven. Because human safety data are limited, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, and avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Ligustrum lucidum · Oleaceae · Ripe fruit (berries) · Dried fruit, decoctions (teas), powders, capsules, tinctures, and herbal formulas
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Glossy Privet is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Glossy Privet record says about it on its own.
Glossy Privet: dosing
There is no well-established, standardized dose of Glossy Privet for any condition. Traditional use is usually as part of a multi-herb decoction or formula prepared by a practitioner, rather than as a single supplement.Because products vary widely in strength and quality, the safest approach is to follow the directions on the product label and not exceed the recommended amount.

About Belinostat Injection
What Is Belinostat Injection Used For?
Brand name: Beleodaq
Beleodaq (belinostat) injection is approved to treat adult patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) — a fast-growing type of lymphoma (blood cancer) that either came back after treatment or never fully responded to it.
This approval is based on how well the cancer responded to the drug, including how long those responses lasted. Whether Beleodaq extends overall survival or improves disease-related symptoms has not yet been established. Continued approval may depend on results from a confirmatory trial.
