Hesperidin + Zolpidem
Zolpidem brand names: Ambien CR, Intermezzo, Sublinox.
Hesperidin has a moderate interaction with Zolpidem. Theoretically, concomitant use with CNS depressants may cause additive sedative effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Zolpidem
Zolpidem falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Hesperidin interacts with.
Animal studies show that hesperidin has sedative effects, due to opioid receptor activity and can increase sedation when used with diazepam. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with these two together. Zolpidem already works by calming activity in your brain to help you drift off. Hesperidin, in animal studies, showed mild sedative effects of its own and seemed to deepen sleepiness when paired with a calming medication. The worry is simply that the two could add up, leaving you groggier than expected, more dizzy, or unsteady on your feet, especially if you get up during the night.
I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's theoretical and comes from lab and animal work, not real human reports. So it's not a reason to panic. Still, since zolpidem can cause next-morning drowsiness on its own, it's worth a quick word with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Hesperidin
What is Hesperidin?
- Hemorrhoids
- Varicose veins and poor circulation
- Leg swelling (venous insufficiency)
- High blood pressure
- Antioxidant support
Hesperidin is a flavonoid found in citrus fruits that is often combined with diosmin and used for vein and circulation problems like hemorrhoids and varicose veins. Some evidence supports these uses, but data for many other claims is limited. It is generally well tolerated, but pregnant and breastfeeding people should avoid it because safety has not been established.
About Zolpidem
What Is Zolpidem Used For?
Brand names: Ambien CR, Intermezzo, Sublinox
Zolpidem is used short-term for insomnia. Most formulations — including Ambien, oral tablets, and Zolpidem Tartrate Capsules — are approved to help people who have trouble falling asleep at bedtime. Zolpidem Tartrate Capsules are specifically indicated for adults under 65.
The extended-release formulations (including Zolpidem Tartrate Extended-Release Tablets) help with both falling asleep and staying asleep through the night. Sublingual tablets (Edluar, Zolpidem Tartrate Sublingual Tablet, and Zolpidem tartrate sublingual) are taken as needed when you wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep — but only if at least 4 hours of sleep time remain before you need to be up.
