This combo pill pairs sitagliptin (a diabetes medicine) with simvastatin (a cholesterol medicine). The interaction here is really about the sitagliptin side. Some early human studies suggest amla can lower blood sugar on its own. Stack that on top of your diabetes medication, and your blood sugar could dip lower than expected.

If that happens, you might notice shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or feeling unusually hungry or confused. The evidence is fairly modest, so this isn't a guarantee, and small culinary amounts of amla are less likely to matter than concentrated supplement capsules. Don't change anything on your own. Check your sugars and chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding amla supplements.
