Juice Fasting + Amphetamine
Amphetamine brand names: Dyanavel XR, Adensys XR-ODT, Mydayis, Adzenys ER.
We found no known interaction between Juice Fasting and Amphetamine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Juice Fasting and Amphetamine
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Amphetamine and Juice Fasting in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Juice Fasting alongside specific medications may be limited.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Juice Fasting at all — not against Amphetamine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
Juice Fasting is an eating pattern rather than something you take. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before changing how you eat while on a prescribed medicine: some medicines are dosed around meals, and a change in diet can change how they work. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Juice Fasting in Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
During pregnancy and lactation. Juice fasting is not intended to provide adequate nutrition and can result in electrolyte imbalances when used short-term, as well as malnutrition when used long-term.

What Amphetamine Is Prescribed For, and What Juice Fasting Has Been Studied For
These two come up together because they touch the same health topic — not because they do the same job. Amphetamine is a prescription medicine with approved uses on its FDA label. Juice Fasting is an eating pattern: what follows is what researchers have looked at it for, and how strong that evidence is.
Amphetamine is prescribed for: Amphetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older. Adzenys XR-ODT, Dyanavel XR, and the amphetamine extended-release orally disintegrating tablet formulations are specifically approved for ADHD in this age group. Amphetamine Sulfate tablets and Evekeo (amphetamine sulfate tablets) are also approved for narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness) and as a short-term aid in a calorie-restricted weight-loss program for exogenous obesity (weight gain from external factors like overeating) in patients who have not responded to other approaches.
Juice Fasting has been studied for:
-
Obesity studied, not established Juice Fasting has been studied for this. Natural Medicines rates the evidence: Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate Read what the research shows
Juice Fasting for obesity
Although juice fasting is often promoted for weight loss, it has not been evaluated specifically for obesity. However, it has been evaluated for weight loss in healthy, non-obese adults. Preliminary clinical research in healthy adults under the age of 30 shows that following a lemon honey juice fast for 4 days reduces weight, body mass index (BMI), fat mass, and muscle mass when compared with baseline.

Effectiveness ratings and the research summaries above are the verbatim record from the Natural Medicines database, which grades evidence from “Effective” down to “Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate”. A rating below the top of that scale means researchers have looked at it — not that it works, and never that it can stand in for a prescribed medicine. Do not stop or replace Amphetamine on your own; if you are taking Juice Fasting for the same health topic, tell your prescriber, especially if the medicine is being adjusted to a target.
Questions About Juice Fasting or Amphetamine

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Amphetamine page
“Amphetamine (Dyanavel XR, Adzenys ER, Mydayis) is a prescription stimulant, usually taken for ADHD, and its interaction list is one to approach with genuine care. Of the 130 supplements and herbal ingredients on file, 16 carry a major rating, and many of those work the same way, either inhibiting monoamine oxidase, as yohimbe does, or…”

Where Juice Fasting and Amphetamine Sit Against Everything Else
Out of every supplement and medication people look up on HelloPharmacist, here is where these two land this week — and which way each has been moving.
#1,084 of 1,452 supplements looked up here in the last 7 days
#33 of 2,830 medications looked up here in the last 7 days
Position among everything looked up on this site, not a measure of how commonly either one is used or how important it is. A supplement can climb this list because of a news story. It counts every request to the page, automated ones included, and nothing here identifies anyone.
Where does our data come from?
- Source: the Natural Medicines (TRC Healthcare) clinical database — the evidence-graded professional reference for herb & supplement interactions.
- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Juice Fasting reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 20, 2026. The Juice Fasting and Amphetamine records this page draws on were last updated July 10, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Juice Fasting
What is Juice Fasting?
- Weight loss
- Detoxification or 'cleansing'
- Boosting fruit and vegetable intake
- Improving energy or well-being
- Resetting eating habits
Juice fasting means consuming only fruit and vegetable juices for a set period, often marketed for 'detox' or quick weight loss. There is little solid evidence that it cleanses the body or offers lasting health benefits, and your liver and kidneys already remove toxins on their own. Short juice fasts are low-risk for healthy adults, but they can be unsafe for some people, so check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
Fruit and vegetable juices · Fresh-pressed (cold-pressed) juices, store-bought juice blends, commercial juice-cleanse programs
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Juice Fasting is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Juice Fasting record says about it on its own.
Juice Fasting: dosing
There is no standardized or medically established way to do a juice fast. Programs vary widely in how many juices are consumed per day and how long the fast lasts. If you choose to try a short juice fast, keeping it brief (about one to three days), staying well hydrated with water, and easing back into solid food gradually are common-sense steps.
