Here's the gist with Camzyos (mavacamten): karaya gum is a bulky fiber that swells into a gel in your gut. Any swelling fiber like this can grab onto a pill and slightly change how much of it gets absorbed. The effect could go either way (a little less, a little more, or none at all), and honestly this is a theoretical concern based on how fiber behaves, not something proven with mavacamten specifically.

Mavacamten is a heart medication where steady, predictable levels matter, since too much can weaken the heart's squeeze. Easy fix: take your mavacamten first, then wait about 30 to 60 minutes before taking karaya gum. If you use both regularly, just give your pharmacist or cardiologist a heads-up so they can keep an eye on things.

It blocks CYP3A4, the liver enzyme that clears mavacamten, and too much of this drug can weaken the heart's pumping strength, the very problem careful dosing exists to prevent.”
