Low Oxalate Diet + Eprosartan
Eprosartan brand name: Teveten.
We found no known interaction between Low Oxalate Diet and Eprosartan in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Low Oxalate Diet and Eprosartan
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Eprosartan and Low Oxalate Diet in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Low Oxalate Diet alongside specific medications may be limited.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Low Oxalate Diet at all — not against Eprosartan, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
Low Oxalate Diet is an eating pattern rather than something you take. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before changing how you eat while on a prescribed medicine: some medicines are dosed around meals, and a change in diet can change how they work. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Safety guidance is general; always confirm with your pharmacist or doctor for your situation.
See Every Supplement That Interacts With Eprosartan
This page covers Low Oxalate Diet only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Eprosartan page lists 138 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), American Hellebore (major), American Mistletoe (major), Tyramine (major) and Adrafinil (moderate).
By severity: 4 major · 112 moderate · 22 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Eprosartan page
“Activated charcoal deserves the first look from anyone taking eprosartan (Teveten) for blood pressure, because it can soak up the medicine in the gut and leave less of your dose to do its job. It is one of four major-rated entries among the 138 supplements and herbs on this page, enough to warrant real wariness rather than a shrug.”

Where Low Oxalate Diet and Eprosartan Sit Against Everything Else
Out of every supplement and medication people look up on HelloPharmacist, here is where these two land this week — and which way each has been moving.

#1,353 of 2,830 medications looked up here in the last 7 days
Position among everything looked up on this site, not a measure of how commonly either one is used or how important it is. A supplement can climb this list because of a news story. It counts every request to the page, automated ones included, and nothing here identifies anyone.

- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Low Oxalate Diet
What is Low Oxalate Diet?
- Prevention of calcium-oxalate kidney stones
- Reducing high urine oxalate levels
- Management of recurrent kidney stones
- Hyperoxaluria
A low oxalate diet limits foods high in oxalate (like spinach, rhubarb, nuts, and certain beans) to help lower the amount of oxalate in your urine. It is most often recommended for people who form calcium-oxalate kidney stones, but it works best alongside other steps like staying well hydrated and getting enough dietary calcium. Talk with your doctor, pharmacist, or a dietitian before making major diet changes.
Dietary plan (meal planning, food lists)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Low Oxalate Diet is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Low Oxalate Diet record says about it on its own.
Low Oxalate Diet: dosing
There is no single "dose" for a low oxalate diet. Recommendations vary, but a common approach is to limit total daily oxalate intake and focus on avoiding the highest-oxalate foods. Because exact targets differ from person to person, your provider or dietitian can set a goal that fits you.General supportive steps often recommended alongside the diet include drinking enough fluid to keep urine pale, getting adequate calcium from food, and limiting excess salt and animal protein.

About Eprosartan
What Is Eprosartan Used For?
Brand name: Teveten
-
Eprosartan is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Eprosartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
-
High blood pressure is a common condition, and when not treated it can cause damage to the brain, heart, blood vessels, kidneys, and other parts of the body. Damage to these organs may cause heart disease, a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure, loss of vision, and other problems. In addition to taking medication, making lifestyle changes will also help to control your blood pressure. These changes include eating a diet that is low in fat and salt, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising at least 30 minutes most days, not smoking, and using alcohol in moderation.

Eprosartan Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Eprosartan as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Low Oxalate Diet — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
