Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Vyvgart (efgartigimod) works a bit differently than older immunosuppressants. It lowers a type of antibody called IgG to calm down conditions like myasthenia gravis, where your own immune system attacks your muscles. The concern here is that Panax ginseng may gently rev up immune activity, which in theory could work against what your medicine is trying to do, possibly making symptoms like muscle weakness, drooping eyelids, or trouble swallowing easier to slip back.

I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical worry based on how ginseng behaves in the lab, not strong patient studies, so it may not amount to much in real life. Still, since this is a serious condition, please run any ginseng product by your neurologist or pharmacist before starting it.
