Here's the honest picture with Bevespi Aerosphere (formoterol plus glycopyrrolate) and peppermint. The concern on file is that peppermint oil might block a liver enzyme called CYP2C19, which could let drugs cleared by it build up a bit. The catch is that this is only seen in lab dish testing, never in actual people, so I'd put it low on your worry list.

On top of that, neither ingredient in your inhaler leans heavily on CYP2C19 to be cleared, so a real-world bump is unlikely. If levels did climb, formoterol's typical effects (a fast or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, tremor) are what you'd watch for. To be safe, mention your peppermint use to your pharmacist or doctor.

Here's the honest picture with Bevespi (formoterol and glycopyrrolate) and peppermint. In a lab dish, peppermint oil has been shown to slow down an enzyme called CYP2C9. The idea is that if you slow that enzyme, drugs it normally clears could build up a bit. The catch is this has only been seen in test tubes, never reported in real people, so it's very much a theoretical concern.

If levels did creep up, you might notice more of formoterol's usual effects, like a fast or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, or shakiness, and possibly more dry mouth from the glycopyrrolate side. For most folks this is unlikely to be a real problem. Still, if you use peppermint oil regularly, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor.
