Premorse and Baloxavir Marboxil

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Baloxavir Marboxil and Premorse in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Premorse at all — not against Baloxavir Marboxil, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Baloxavir Marboxil’s Own FDA Label Lists

This is not an interaction — none of it involves Premorse. These are the most notable effects listed in the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Baloxavir Marboxil’s own FDA label, for the medication by itself. Knowing the drug’s own list makes it easier to work out the likely cause if something new turns up while you take both.

  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache
  • Nausea

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Baloxavir Marboxil. Read the label on DailyMed › Premorse’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Premorse side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Premorse has no side effects.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Baloxavir Marboxil

This page covers Premorse only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Baloxavir Marboxil page lists 17 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.

The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Coffee Charcoal (moderate), European Mandrake (moderate), Glucomannan (moderate) and Guar Gum (moderate).

By severity: 1 major · 7 moderate · 9 minor.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Baloxavir Marboxil page

“Activated charcoal is the supplement I would keep farthest from baloxavir marboxil (Xofluzanda), the single-dose flu antiviral, and it carries the only major rating among the 17 ingredients on file here. Charcoal adsorbs drugs in the gut, and because this whole flu treatment is one dose, a blunted dose has no follow-up pill to rescue it.”

About Premorse

What is Premorse?

Premorse
  • Coughs and respiratory complaints
  • Common cold and sore throat
  • Skin conditions
  • Digestive upset
  • Mild calming aid

Premorse (devil's-bit scabious) is a traditional European herb used for coughs, colds, and skin problems, but there is very little modern scientific research to confirm it works or is safe. Because evidence is so limited, it is best to talk with a pharmacist or doctor before using it, and to avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Succisa pratensis · Caprifoliaceae · Roots, leaves, and flowering tops · Tea, tincture, dried herb, topical preparations

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Premorse is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Premorse record says about it on its own.

Premorse: dosing

There is no established or standardized dose for Premorse. Because it has not been studied in proper clinical trials, no reliable safe and effective amount has been determined. If you choose to use a commercial product, follow the directions on the label and do not take more than recommended. It is a good idea to review the product with a pharmacist first, since strength and quality can vary a lot between brands. When trying any new herb, starting low and watching for any reaction is a sensible approach.
