HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Vedolizumab
Vedolizumab falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Siberian Cocklebur interacts with.
Well-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
Here's the concern with pairing Siberian cocklebur and vedolizumab (Entyvio). This isn't about one drug speeding up or slowing down another in your bloodstream. Instead, the worry is that both can be hard on your liver. Cocklebur naturally contains toxic compounds that have caused real cases of liver injury, even liver failure. Vedolizumab, like many medicines used for Crohn's and ulcerative colitis, can occasionally affect liver enzymes too. Stacking two liver stresses together may raise your overall risk.
This particular combo is mostly theoretical, but the liver harm from cocklebur itself is well documented, so I'd treat it seriously. Watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Vedolizumab page
“Every entry on this page points at the same organ, the liver. Vedolizumab (Entyvio) is a gut-selective biologic for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, and though it does most of its work in the intestine, it has been linked to liver injury in rare cases.”
