Sonoma Diet and Losartan Potassium

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Losartan Potassium and Sonoma Diet in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Sonoma Diet alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Sonoma Diet at all — not against Losartan Potassium, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Sonoma Diet is an eating pattern rather than something you take. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before changing how you eat while on a prescribed medicine: some medicines are dosed around meals, and a change in diet can change how they work. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Losartan Potassium. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 89,498 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Losartan Potassium that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Sonoma Diet’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Sonoma Diet side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Sonoma Diet has no side effects.

About Sonoma Diet

What is Sonoma Diet?

  • Weight loss
  • Heart health
  • Blood sugar control
  • Mediterranean-style eating
  • General healthy eating

The Sonoma Diet is not a supplement or herb — it is a Mediterranean-style eating plan that emphasizes whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, vegetables, and portion control. It is generally considered a safe, balanced way to eat, but it is a food plan rather than a pill, so talk with your doctor or dietitian before making big dietary changes.

Eating plan (whole foods, meal plans, recipes, books)

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Sonoma Diet is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Sonoma Diet record says about it on its own.

Sonoma Diet: dosing

There is no "dose" for the Sonoma Diet because it is an eating plan, not a supplement. Instead, you follow the plan's guidance on food choices, portion sizes, and meal structure, often described in its books or official materials. If you want to follow it, a registered dietitian can help you tailor it to your calorie needs, health conditions, and preferences.

About Losartan

What Is Losartan Used For?

Brand name: Cozaar

Losartan tablets — available as branded Cozaar and several generic products — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 6 years and older. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Losartan tablets are also used to reduce the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure who also have left ventricular hypertrophy (an enlarged left side of the heart). Note: evidence suggests this stroke-risk benefit may not apply to Black patients.

Losartan tablets are additionally approved to protect the kidneys in people with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and signs of kidney damage (diabetic nephropathy). Arbli, the oral suspension form, shares these same approved uses.
