Streptococcus Thermophilus + Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir
Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir brand name: Technivie.
We found no known interaction between Streptococcus Thermophilus and Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Streptococcus Thermophilus and Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir and Streptococcus Thermophilus in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Streptococcus Thermophilus at all — not against Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir page
“Technivie (ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir) treats hepatitis C, and because a cure depends on holding steady drug levels for the whole course, this list warrants genuine care. Most of the 154 ingredients on file touch the CYP3A4 enzyme pathway, meaning they can push the drug's blood levels up or down.”

About Streptococcus Thermophilus
What is Streptococcus Thermophilus?
- Digestive health
- Lactose intolerance
- Diarrhea prevention and support
- Gut microbiome balance
- Immune support
Streptococcus thermophilus is a friendly bacterium used as a probiotic, often combined with other strains in yogurt and supplements. It is generally well tolerated in healthy people and may help with digestion and lactose breakdown, but solid evidence for most specific health claims is still limited. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting it, especially if your immune system is weak.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Streptococcus Thermophilus is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Streptococcus Thermophilus record says about it on its own.
Streptococcus Thermophilus: dosing
There is no single official or standardized dose for Streptococcus thermophilus. Probiotic products are usually measured in colony-forming units (CFU), and amounts vary widely between products. The best approach is to follow the dosing directions on the product label, since formulas differ.

About Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir, and Ritonavir
What Is Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir, and Ritonavir Used For?
Brand name: Technivie
-
The combination of ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir is usually used in combination with ribavirin (Copegus, Rebetol), but sometimes it is used alone to treat a certain type of chronic (long-term) hepatitis C infection (swelling of the liver caused by a virus). Ombitasvir is a hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5A inhibitor. It works by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body. Paritaprevir is a protease inhibitor. It works by decreasing the amount of HCV in the body. Ritonavir is a protease inhibitor. It helps to increase the amount of paritaprevir in the body so that the medication will have a greater effect. It is not known if ombitasvir, paritaprevir, or ritonavir prevent the spread of hepatitis C to other people.
