Tai Chi + Tinidazole
Tinidazole brand name: Tindamax.
We found no known interaction between Tai Chi and Tinidazole in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Tai Chi and Tinidazole
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Tinidazole and Tai Chi in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Tai Chi alongside specific medications may be limited.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Tai Chi at all — not against Tinidazole, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
Tai Chi is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Tinidazole
This page covers Tai Chi only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Tinidazole page lists 140 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Grapefruit (major), St. John's Wort (major), Acacia Rigidula (moderate) and Adrafinil (moderate).
By severity: 3 major · 96 moderate · 41 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Tinidazole page
“Tinidazole (Tindamax) is a short antibiotic course, often for parasitic or vaginal infections, and its supplement list is one I would genuinely slow down for. Each of the three major-rated pairings can wreck treatment in its own way: St.”

Where Tai Chi and Tinidazole Sit Against Everything Else
Out of every supplement and medication people look up on HelloPharmacist, here is where these two land this week — and which way each has been moving.
#1,260 of 1,452 supplements looked up here in the last 7 days
#1,709 of 2,830 medications looked up here in the last 7 days
Position among everything looked up on this site, not a measure of how commonly either one is used or how important it is. A supplement can climb this list because of a news story. It counts every request to the page, automated ones included, and nothing here identifies anyone.
Where does our data come from?
- Source: the Natural Medicines (TRC Healthcare) clinical database — the evidence-graded professional reference for herb & supplement interactions. Tai Chi is not yet covered by that licensed database, so its write-up cites publicly available medical sources directly (see the references below).
- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Tai Chi reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 20, 2026. The Tai Chi and Tinidazole records this page draws on were last updated June 22, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Tai Chi
What is Tai Chi?
- Balance and fall prevention
- Stress and relaxation
- Joint pain and arthritis
- Heart and lung health
- Better sleep
- General fitness and flexibility
Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact mind-body exercise that combines slow flowing movements, breathing, and focused attention. Research suggests it can improve balance, reduce falls, ease some chronic pain, and lower stress, and it is safe for most people. It is a practice, not a pill, so there are no doses or supplement risks to worry about.
Not applicable (mind-body movement practice) · Group classes, one-on-one instruction, video-guided sessions
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Tai Chi is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Tai Chi record says about it on its own.
Tai Chi: dosing
There is no "dose" for Tai Chi the way there is for a supplement. Many beginner programs involve sessions of about 30 to 60 minutes, done a few times a week, and benefits tend to grow with regular practice over weeks to months. The best approach is to follow your class or instructor's guidance and build up gradually at a pace that feels comfortable.

About Tinidazole
What Is Tinidazole Used For?
Brand name: Tindamax
Tinidazole tablets treat four types of infections: trichomoniasis (a sexually transmitted infection), giardiasis (a parasitic gut infection), amebiasis (including intestinal infection and amebic liver abscess), and bacterial vaginosis (a vaginal bacterial imbalance). Treatment of giardiasis and amebiasis is approved for adults and children older than three years of age. Bacterial vaginosis is an approved use in adult women.
Because trichomoniasis is sexually transmitted, sexual partners must be treated at the same time to prevent re-infection. Tinidazole should only be used for confirmed or strongly suspected bacterial or parasitic infections — using it unnecessarily can contribute to antibiotic resistance.
