What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: agmatine sulfate. Agmatine is a compound derived from the amino acid arginine; it works in your body in several ways, including effects on blood pressure, blood sugar, and nervous system function.
There are no other active ingredients — just the agmatine itself.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for agmatine across the conditions studied — alcohol use disorder, Alzheimer disease, anxiety, athletic performance, autism spectrum disorder, and bipolar disorder — is insufficient to rate it one way or another. That means we don't have enough reliable human data yet to say whether it works for these purposes.
If you're thinking about using it for a specific reason, it's worth talking that through with your doctor or pharmacist.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Short-term use of agmatine appears generally well tolerated. The most common side effects reported in small studies were diarrhea, indigestion (dyspepsia), and nausea — and these showed up within a couple of days and went away once people stopped taking it.
The catch is that long-term safety in humans hasn't been well studied, so we don't know what happens if you take this for months or years. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, there isn't enough safety data, so it's best to avoid this product.
Talk with your OB/GYN or midwife if you're considering it during pregnancy or while nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check your blood pressure medications and diabetes medications with your pharmacist. Agmatine can lower blood pressure and blood sugar, and combining it with drugs that do the same raises the risk of both dropping too low.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Agmatine sulfate is generally well tolerated short-term, but it's important to check it against your blood pressure and diabetes medications before you start — the interactions are real. We also don't have long-term safety data in humans.
If you take any prescription medications, run them through the checker on this page first, then have a conversation with your pharmacist.

AgmaPure Agmatine Unflavored by Muscle Feast Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
AgmaPure Agmatine Sulfate Unflavored by Muscle Feast does interact with certain medications.
The main concern is with blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs). Agmatine can lower your blood pressure, and animal research shows it may modestly decrease heart rate as well — so combining it with drugs that already lower blood pressure raises the risk of blood pressure dropping too far (hypotension).
This is a Moderate severity interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The second concern is with diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs), also Moderate severity. Agmatine appears to have mild blood sugar-lowering effects based on animal and lab research, which means it could increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if you're already taking drugs to bring your blood sugar down.
Altogether, these interactions span 255 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact prescriptions before you start.
