Devil's Claw is generally well tolerated in the short term, but digestive upset—diarrhea, indigestion, and rarely gastrointestinal bleeding—has been reported in a small number of users, especially at higher doses. Stinging Nettle is also generally well tolerated for most adults, though constipation and diarrhea occur occasionally.

Topical contact with raw nettle leaves causes itching and rash. One rare case of liver injury has been reported with a blend containing nettle.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Devil's Claw is possibly unsafe in pregnancy and should be avoided because it may affect the uterus; there's not enough safety data for breastfeeding. Stinging Nettle is rated likely unsafe in pregnancy and should also be avoided; breastfeeding safety is unknown.
