Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
B2-400 is a straightforward supplement: one active ingredient, riboflavin (also called vitamin B2), at 400 milligrams per capsule. Riboflavin is an essential B vitamin your body needs to convert food into energy and support cell health.
The capsule also contains microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, and silica as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The product facts on file don't include effectiveness ratings for riboflavin, so we can't tell you from our data what conditions or benefits it may support. If you're considering B2-400 for a specific reason, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist—they can advise whether riboflavin is right for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Riboflavin is very well tolerated at recommended doses; any excess your body doesn't use is cleared through your urine. The most common side effects are dose-related nausea and bright yellow urine—both harmless.
Rarely, diarrhea or increased urination has been reported at higher doses like 400 mg daily. Riboflavin is needed during pregnancy and breastfeeding and is generally safe at normal amounts, but if you're pregnant, nursing, or considering high-dose supplementation, check with your provider first.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take tetracycline antibiotics (doxycycline, minocycline, and others in that class), check with your pharmacist before starting B2-400. Riboflavin may reduce how well these antibiotics work, though this hasn't been confirmed in people.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
B2-400 is a high-dose riboflavin supplement for anyone whose doctor or nutritionist has recommended B2 support. If you take tetracycline antibiotics, double-check with your pharmacist before starting—the two may interact.
It's generally well tolerated, but talk it over with your own doctor or pharmacist before adding it to your routine.

B2-400 by Bio-Tech Pharmacal Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Bio-Tech Pharmacal's B2-400 contains riboflavin, a single B vitamin with one documented interaction.
Riboflavin may theoretically decrease the potency of tetracycline antibiotics—drugs like doxycycline and minocycline used for bacterial infections and acne. In lab studies, riboflavin appears to inhibit how these antibiotics work, but this hasn't been reported as a problem in actual patients, so it's unclear how much it matters in real life.
