What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Black Radish. It's packaged in a gelatin capsule.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence we hold on Black Radish for biliary disorders and diabetes is insufficient to rate — meaning we don't have enough reliable data to say whether it works for those purposes. While animal studies show radish can lower blood sugar, human trial data hasn't been established in our records.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Radish is a common food and generally well tolerated in normal amounts you'd eat. However, the safety of concentrated radish supplements like this hasn't been well studied.
Large amounts may irritate your stomach lining and cause mild indigestion. A rare case of allergy to radish has been reported, with symptoms including throat tightness and hives.
Unwashed raw sprouts should be avoided due to contamination risk. We don't have specific safety data on file for use in pregnancy or lactation — talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check any antidiabetes medication (insulin, metformin, sulfonylureas, and others) before you take this product — radish may lower your blood sugar and increase the risk of it dropping too far.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Black Radish might interest someone looking for a traditional herbal supplement, but the evidence for it isn't established yet. If you take antidiabetes drugs, you'll want to check your medications against our interaction tool before you start — the risk of low blood sugar is real.
