Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Black Radish extract. Radish is a root vegetable that's been used traditionally to support biliary (liver and bile duct) health and blood sugar metabolism, though the evidence for these uses is still being established.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence isn't established in the data we hold. The monograph rates both biliary disorders and diabetes support as having insufficient reliable evidence to rate — meaning the research so far isn't conclusive enough to confirm whether Black Radish Extract actually works for these purposes.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Radish is widely eaten as food and is generally well tolerated in normal dietary amounts. However, concentrated supplements haven't been studied as thoroughly as the vegetable itself.
A small number of people have reported allergic reactions (throat tightness and rash) to radish, and large amounts may cause mild stomach irritation or indigestion. The facts we hold don't include pregnancy and lactation safety data for this ingredient, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your antidiabetes drugs (Moderate severity) before starting this product. Animal research shows radish extract may lower blood glucose, which could increase your risk of low blood sugar when combined with these medications.
Confirm with your own doctor or pharmacist whether it's safe to combine.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Black Radish Extract is a single-ingredient powder of a familiar vegetable. If you take antidiabetes drugs, you'll want to check your exact medications with your doctor or pharmacist before starting it, since animal research suggests it may lower blood sugar.
For people without diabetes medication concerns and no known radish allergy, the main caution is that concentrated supplements aren't as well studied as the food itself.
