HelloPharmacist Scorecard of CLK Raspberry Flavored Softgels by Cellucor
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
CLK contains four active ingredients. L-carnitine is an amino acid your body uses to convert fat into energy and support heart and muscle function.
7-keto-DHEA is a hormone derivative that early research has looked at for weight and mood, though the evidence is still developing. Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) and Razberi-K are included for their potential metabolic roles.
The softgels also contain several inactive ingredients — gelatin, glycerin, wax, lecithin, and food colorants — that serve as the capsule shell and flavorings.
Does it work?
Not established
L-carnitine is effective for treating L-carnitine deficiency itself. It's rated possibly effective for high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), heart failure (congestive heart failure or CHF), and angina — meaning the evidence suggests it may help, but more research is needed.
7-keto-DHEA lacks established evidence in the data we hold. The conditions it's been studied for — obesity, depression, PTSD, aging — are all rated insufficient reliable evidence to rate, meaning we don't yet know if it works for these.
Effectiveness data for Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Razberi-K is not on file.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
L-carnitine is generally well tolerated at typical doses. The most common side effects are digestive — stomach cramps, pain, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and loss of appetite — and some people report a fishy body odor.
Seizures have been reported rarely. High doses carry a higher risk of stomach upset.
7-keto-DHEA has limited safety data. Short-term use in small studies appears tolerated, but long-term safety isn't established.
A handful of trial participants reported nausea or dizziness. Because it's a hormone-related supplement, safety data during pregnancy is not sufficient, and it's best avoided while breastfeeding.
For L-carnitine, safety during breastfeeding is not well studied, so caution is advised — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take warfarin or acenocoumarol (blood thinners), L-carnitine in this product may increase their anticoagulant effects (Moderate severity). If you take thyroid hormone replacement, L-carnitine may decrease its effectiveness (Moderate severity).
Check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before you start.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may work for you if you're interested in supporting fat metabolism and energy, though the evidence for weight loss itself isn't on file here. If you take a blood thinner or thyroid medication, you need to check with us or your pharmacist first — L-carnitine can interact with both.

CLK Raspberry Flavored Softgels by Cellucor Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
CLK Raspberry Flavored Softgels by Cellucor contains two ingredients we could check for interactions: L-carnitine and 7-keto-DHEA.
L-carnitine is the one with documented interactions, and the most serious concerns are with blood thinners (anticoagulants). L-carnitine may increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin (Coumadin) and acenocoumarol (Sintrom) — both Moderate severity — meaning your blood could thin more than intended and your bleeding risk could rise.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
L-carnitine also has a Moderate interaction with thyroid hormone replacement therapy. L-carnitine appears to work against thyroid hormone in your cells, which could weaken the medication's effects if you're taking it for an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism).
7-keto-DHEA, a hormone-related compound in this product, shows no interactions are documented in our data — though that does not guarantee none exist. We could not check Conjugated Linoleic Acid or Razberi-K; interaction data is not on file for them.
Altogether, these interactions span 19 individual medications. If you take a blood thinner or thyroid hormone, run your exact medications through the checker below before you start.

For each ingredient in CLK Raspberry Flavored Softgels with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
L-Carnitine
Acenocoumarol (Sintrom)
Theoretically, L-carnitine might increase the anticoagulant effects of acenocoumarol.
L-carnitine might enhance the anticoagulant effects of acenocoumarol, an oral anticoagulant similar to warfarin, but shorter-acting. There are at least two case reports of INR elevation with concomitant use. In one case, a 33-year-old male with a previously stable INR had an elevated INR of 4.65 after L-carnitine was started and continued for 10 weeks. INR normalized after discontinuation of the L-carnitine-containing product.
Thyroid Hormone
Theoretically, L-carnitine might decrease the effectiveness of thyroid hormone replacement.
L-carnitine appears to act as a peripheral thyroid hormone antagonist by inhibiting entry of thyroid hormone into the nucleus of cells. Taking L-carnitine also seems to diminish some of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, L-carnitine might increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
L-carnitine might increase the anticoagulant effects of acenocoumarol, a shorter-acting oral anticoagulant similar to warfarin. There is not enough information to know whether this interaction occurs with L-carnitine and warfarin.
