In order for vitamins to be utilized by the body, they must first be converted into their active coenzyme forms. Coenzymated B1 is ready to go to work immediately. This essential nutrient plays key roles in generating energy from carbohydrates, fats, and alcohol, and in the formation of neurotransmitters in the brain. Thiamin diphosphate (TDP), also called thiamin pyrophosphate (TPP) or cocarboxylase, is the active, coenzyme form of vitamin B-1.

Suggested Use: 1 lozenge daily. For best results, allow to dissolve in the mouth before swallowing.

Trimethoprim might increase blood levels of thiamine.
In vitro, animal, and clinical research suggest that trimethoprim inhibits intestinal thiamine transporter ThTR-2, hepatic transporter OCT1, and renal transporters OCT2, MATE1, and MATE2, resulting in paradoxically increased thiamine plasma concentrations.
