Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Hype Fruit Punch is a 5-ingredient powder. The active ingredients are Glycerol Monostearate, L-Norvaline, Agmatine Sulfate, Citrulline Malate, and Icariin.
Glycerol is included for its potential role in athletic performance and constipation. Agmatine and Citrulline Malate are amino acid compounds often used in athletic and workout formulas.
Icariin is a plant compound. The powder also contains inactive ingredients (flavors and silicon dioxide) used as excipients.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence we hold is limited. Glycerol Monostearate is likely effective for constipation and possibly effective for athletic performance, but possibly ineffective for meningitis, prematurity, and stroke.
For L-Norvaline, Agmatine Sulfate, Citrulline Malate, and Icariin, the evidence we hold on their intended uses in this product is not established — no effectiveness ratings are on file for them in the data we have.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Glycerol is generally well tolerated at normal amounts, but large doses can cause stomach upset and may lead to dehydration. Common side effects when taken orally include bloating, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headache.
Agmatine sulfate appears well tolerated in the short term, though long-term safety in humans isn't well studied. In small clinical trials, some people reported diarrhea, indigestion, and nausea — usually mild to moderate and resolving when they stopped.
Agmatine is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data. We hold no adverse-effect data on L-Norvaline, Citrulline Malate, or Icariin.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Hype Fruit Punch, double-check with your pharmacist or doctor if you're on blood pressure–lowering drugs (antihypertensives) or diabetes medications. Agmatine may theoretically deepen drops in blood pressure or blood sugar when combined with these.
We could not check L-Norvaline, Citrulline Malate, and Icariin against your medications, so mentioning those ingredients to your pharmacist is wise too.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Hype Fruit Punch is aimed at athletes and workout enthusiasts, but if you take blood pressure medication or diabetes medication, you'll want to check with your doctor or pharmacist first — agmatine in this product may theoretically lower your blood pressure further or increase low blood sugar risk. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your healthcare provider about whether this product is right for you, particularly because of the agmatine content.

Hype Fruit Punch by Blackstone Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Hype Fruit Punch by Blackstone Labs contains agmatine sulfate, which has documented interactions with two medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood pressure–lowering drugs (antihypertensives): agmatine may theoretically increase the risk of excessively low blood pressure when taken together. Animal research suggests agmatine can modestly decrease heart rate and blood pressure on its own.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The product also carries a Moderate interaction risk with diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs). Agmatine may theoretically increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when combined with these drugs, since animal and laboratory research hint at mild blood sugar–lowering effects from agmatine.
We could not check L-Norvaline, Citrulline Malate, and Icariin — we hold no data on these ingredients. Glycerol Monostearate, the first listed ingredient, has no interactions documented in our data, though that is not a guarantee none exist.
Altogether, these interactions span 258 individual medications. Before you start Hype Fruit Punch, run your exact blood pressure and diabetes medications through the search tool on this page to see if any are flagged.
