HelloPharmacist Scorecard of LGD Max by Panther Sports Nutrition
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
LGD Max contains one active ingredient: ligandrol (LGD-4033), a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM)—a type of experimental compound being studied for muscle and bone effects. The capsules also hold rice flour, magnesium stearate, and gelatin as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence we hold does not establish that ligandrol works reliably for athletic performance, muscle strength, breast cancer, cachexia (severe muscle wasting), or muscular dystrophy. The ratings across these uses are all insufficient—meaning the data isn't there yet to say whether it helps or doesn't.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Ligandrol carries real safety concerns. Case reports document liver injury linked to its use, and the FDA has specifically warned that SARM-containing supplements have been associated with liver toxicity.
In one report, a 32-year-old who took 10 mg daily for just 2 weeks developed signs of liver damage. At lower doses (0.3 to 1.0 mg daily for 3 weeks), it has also lowered HDL cholesterol (the protective kind).
The product is an unapproved investigational drug, not a legal dietary supplement—it hasn't passed the safety and efficacy review that approved medications undergo. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: The safety data advises against use in pregnancy and lactation.
There isn't enough data to know whether it's safe while breastfeeding, and it may pass into breast milk.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take any medication that can stress the liver or affect liver function (hepatotoxic drugs). The interaction data we hold documents Moderate-severity risk with this drug type.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Ligandrol is an experimental compound with documented liver injury risks and unproven effects for any condition. It is not an approved medication or legal dietary supplement.
If you're considering it, talk with your doctor or pharmacist first—especially if you take any medication that affects your liver, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

LGD Max by Panther Sports Nutrition Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
LGD Max by Panther Sports Nutrition contains ligandrol (LGD-4033), which interacts with hepatotoxic drugs (drugs that can stress the liver).
The main concern is additive liver damage—using ligandrol alongside medications that tax the liver may compound that risk. Case reports describe liver injury tied to ligandrol use alone, and the FDA has flagged SARM-containing supplements for liver toxicity.
