What’s inside
Full disclosure
Lime Powder is a single-ingredient supplement containing 1,000 mg of lime powder per serving. The only other ingredient listed is maltodextrin, a starch used as a filler.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for lime powder isn't established in the data we hold. We have no reliable evidence backing its use for iron deficiency anemia, malaria, sickle cell disease, or smoking cessation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lime as a food is generally well tolerated. When taken orally at food levels, it's safe for most people, though a small number have reported diarrhea or tooth wear and sensitivity.
Concentrated extracts or essential oils are a different story — safety data for those isn't well studied, and your doctor should clear them first. Topically, lime oil and juice can cause allergic skin reactions and a painful sun-related burn (phytophotodermatitis) when skin exposure to lime is followed by sun exposure.
Pregnancy and lactation data for this product are not on file — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your pharmacist if you take any photosensitizing drugs (medications that make your skin sensitive to sunlight) or drugs broken down by the liver enzyme CYP3A4, which includes a very large number of common medications. The interaction tool on this page can help you confirm whether your specific prescriptions are affected.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Lime powder as a food is gentle for most people, but this concentrated 1,000 mg powder may interact with medications that are light-sensitive or broken down by your liver. If you take any prescription medication — especially for erectile dysfunction, immunosuppression, or heart rhythm — check it with us first.
A quick conversation with your pharmacist can help you figure out if it's right for you.

Lime Powder 1000 mg by BulkSupplements.com Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Lime Powder by BulkSupplements.com contains one active ingredient — lime — which interacts with two categories of medications according to our data.
The most serious interaction is with drugs that make your skin light-sensitive (photosensitizing drugs). When you take lime at the same time as these medications and then go out in the sun, the combination may raise your risk of severe sun sensitivity reactions (phototoxicity).
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The second documented interaction is with a large group of medications that your liver breaks down using a specific enzyme called CYP3A4. Animal research suggests that compounds in lime juice can slow how quickly your body clears these drugs, potentially leading to higher levels in your bloodstream.
Altogether, these interactions span 876 individual medications.
Because lime as a food is different from the concentrated powder or oil in this product, the strength of these effects in real-world use isn't fully clear. Use the medication checker on this page to look up any prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs you take before you start.
