Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 2 of its 2 active ingredients.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This liquid supplement contains two active ingredients: resveratrol and NADH. Resveratrol is a plant compound found in grape skins and berries; NADH is a coenzyme form of vitamin B3 involved in energy production in your cells.

The product is delivered in a liposomal form—the active ingredients are wrapped in tiny fat spheres meant to improve absorption. Inactive ingredients include water, soy lecithin, natural flavors, glycerin, xanthan gum, stevia leaf extract, and potassium sorbate.

Moderate evidence
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Moderate

Some clinical evidence supports this product's ingredients for its stated purpose, but it isn't conclusive.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: Cellular support and energy.
  • We looked for evidence on: Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), Jet lag, Athletic performance, Cognitive function, Mitochondrial function, NAD+ metabolism.
  • The strongest evidence on file: Nadh is rated "Possibly Effective" for Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Resveratrol is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Cognitive function.
  • Also on file: Nadh is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Athletic performance, Cognitive function, Jet lag.

Resveratrol is possibly effective for obesity and allergic rhinitis (hay fever), but evidence suggests it's possibly ineffective for cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol. NADH is possibly effective for chronic fatigue syndrome, but evidence for Parkinson disease, dementia, and alcohol-related liver disease is insufficient to rate.

Neither ingredient has strong clinical proof for its use, so results vary widely between people.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 2 matched ingredients.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 2 of 2.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 2 of 2.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses, though higher doses may cause digestive upset like diarrhea, loose stools, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Headache, fatigue, and memory loss have been reported in specific patient populations, and one case of a skin rash occurred during a trial (it resolved two weeks after stopping).

NADH is generally well tolerated short-term, but long-term safety data are limited. During pregnancy, the safety data for resveratrol advises against concentrated supplements; for NADH, there isn't enough information to know either way, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.

The same caution applies to breastfeeding for both ingredients—safety data are insufficient, so discuss this with your healthcare provider before using while nursing.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 2 matched ingredients can interact with medications — Resveratrol.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 823 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel), as resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Also double-check any medication that your liver breaks down, especially if you're on a CYP2E1 substrate—resveratrol can raise blood levels of those drugs.

The other liver enzyme interactions (CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4) are theoretical in humans but worth verifying with your pharmacist.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates

Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.

Likelihood Probable Evidence B
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.

Mega-Liposomal NAD+/Resveratrol Organic Fruit Flavor by Aurora NutraScience: Common Questions

Does Mega-Liposomal NAD+/Resveratrol Organic Fruit Flavor by Aurora NutraScience interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Mega-Liposomal NAD+/Resveratrol Organic Fruit Flavor has a known interaction with 822 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Mega-Liposomal NAD+/Resveratrol Organic Fruit Flavor contains 2 active ingredients, and an interaction can come from any of them. We check every ingredient, combine the results into one list per medication, and show which ingredient and mechanism is responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take this while I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
For resveratrol, concentrated supplements aren't recommended in pregnancy. For NADH, there isn't enough safety data to know either way. Either way, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product while pregnant or nursing—they can give you personalized advice.
What are the most common side effects?
Resveratrol at higher doses most commonly causes diarrhea, loose stools, and gastrointestinal discomfort. At typical supplement doses, side effects are generally mild. NADH adverse effects aren't well documented, but long-term safety data are limited.
Does this actually work for fatigue or weight loss?
NADH is possibly effective for chronic fatigue syndrome based on available evidence, but results vary. Resveratrol is possibly effective for weight loss, but again, the evidence is modest. Neither ingredient has strong clinical proof, so you may or may not see a benefit.
Why does this have 823 medication interactions?
That number counts individual drugs affected across all of resveratrol's interactions combined—mostly medications that your liver breaks down or blood thinners. Resveratrol can inhibit several liver enzymes, which affects hundreds of drugs. NADH has no documented interactions, so resveratrol is responsible for all of them.
Is this safe if I'm not on any medications?
At typical supplement doses, resveratrol and NADH are generally well tolerated in people without medications. Higher doses may cause digestive upset. Long-term safety data are limited, so it's a reasonable question to ask your pharmacist if you're planning to use it long-term.
