Muscle Force Extreme Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Muscle Force Extreme against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Muscle Force Extreme is a liquid supplement with five active ingredients. American ginseng is included for immune support and possibly to help with upper respiratory tract infections.
Maca, beet, horny goat weed, and Tribulus terrestris are herbal extracts — horny goat weed and Tribulus are traditionally used for sexual function, while beet is added for athletic performance and exercise recovery. The liquid also contains inactive ingredients: water, glycerin, alcohol, natural flavors, and rebaudioside A (a stevia-derived sweetener).
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's ingredients is limited. Beet is possibly effective for athletic performance and exercise-induced muscle soreness.
American ginseng is possibly effective for upper respiratory tract infections but has insufficient evidence for anemia of chronic disease and breast cancer. Tribulus terrestris is possibly effective for sexual dysfunction, though possibly ineffective for athletic performance.
Maca, horny goat weed, and other claimed uses for the other ingredients have insufficient reliable evidence in our data — the evidence isn't established for those purposes.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
American ginseng is generally well tolerated short-term in healthy adults, but long-term safety is not well studied and quality varies between products. Headache has been reported.
It is possibly unsafe during pregnancy and should be avoided while breastfeeding. Maca and horny goat weed are generally well tolerated as foods or short-term supplements, but long-term safety data are limited, and both should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data.
Beet is generally well tolerated as a food, though concentrated supplements lack long-term safety data. Red or black stools are common and harmless; rarely, large amounts may cause low calcium (hypocalcemia) or kidney damage.
Tribulus terrestris is often well tolerated short-term but should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Rare serious effects include liver and kidney injury, seizures, and in one case, a patient who drank large amounts developed weakness, seizures, and kidney injury.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Before taking Muscle Force Extreme, double-check these medication types with your pharmacist: blood thinners like warfarin (Major risk with American ginseng), then blood pressure drugs, antidiabetes medications, blood thinners/antiplatelet agents (anticoagulants like apixaban, clopidogrel), lithium, MAOIs (older antidepressants), immunosuppressants, estrogen-based medications, and drugs metabolized by liver enzymes CYP3A4, CYP1A2, and CYP2B6. The interaction checker below can help you verify your specific prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may appeal to someone looking for herbal support for muscle performance or sexual function, but it carries several medication interactions — especially if you take blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, diabetes medications, or antidepressants. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, the safety data advise against American ginseng, horny goat weed, and Tribulus terrestris specifically.

Muscle Force Extreme by Herbal Nutrition Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Muscle Force Extreme by Herbal Nutrition contains five active ingredients, and several of them interact with medications.
The most serious interaction we've documented is American ginseng with warfarin (a blood thinner), where ginseng appears to decrease warfarin's effectiveness and lower your clotting protection — this is a Major severity concern.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
American ginseng also has Moderate interactions with drugs for blood sugar control (antidiabetes medications), where it may lower blood glucose further and raise the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). It can also interfere with immunosuppressants, drugs for depression called MAOIs, and theoretically affects blood pressure control.
Horny goat weed has Moderate interactions with blood pressure drugs, blood thinners (anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents), estrogen-based medications, and several drug-metabolizing enzymes in your liver (CYP1A2, CYP2B6, and CYP3A4 substrates). Beet root also affects CYP3A4 substrates (Moderate severity) and has Minor interactions with blood pressure drugs and CYP1A2 substrates.
Tribulus terrestris can increase the effects of blood pressure drugs and antidiabetes medications (both Moderate), and may raise lithium levels if you take that mood stabilizer.
Maca has no interactions documented in our data, though that is not a guarantee none exist. Altogether, these interactions span 1,129 individual medications.

Horny Goat Weed
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, horny goat weed might increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro research and animal research shows that horny goat weed can inhibit platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, horny goat weed might increase the risk of hypotension.
Laboratory research suggests that horny goat weed might have hypotensive effects. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, horny goat weed might increase the effects and side effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro, horny goat weed leaf extract inhibits CYP1A2. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2B6 (Cyp2B6) Substrates
Theoretically, horny goat weed might increase the effects and side effects of CYP2B6 substrates.
In vitro, horny goat weed leaf extract inhibits CYP2B6. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, horny goat weed might increase the effects and side effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro, horny goat weed extract inhibits CYP3A4 and suppresses CYP3A4 mRNA expression. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Estrogens
Theoretically, concomitant use of horny goat weed with estrogens might increase their therapeutic and adverse effects.
In vitro evidence suggests that horny goat weed has estrogenic activity. In clinical research, horny goat weed has been shown to increase blood levels of estrogen in some females.
Beet
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, beet might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that betanin, the major pigment in beet, competitively inhibits CYP3A4 in a dose-dependent manner similarly to strong CYP3A4 inhibitor ketoconazole.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Beet and beetroot contain nitrates, which can cause vasodilation, potentially leading to lower blood pressure. However, a study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition using concentrated beetroot juice found no significant impact on blood pressure or heart rate in different age groups. Other small clinical studies suggest that while beet consumption might transiently lower blood pressure due to vessel dilation, there's no consistent evidence of a lasting effect. Overall, the theoretical risk of reduced blood pressure due to beet's nitrate content exists, but studies generally indicate a low and temporary impact rather than a sustained decrease.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, beet might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that beet induces CYP1A2 enzymes.
Tribulus terrestris
Antidiabetes Drugs
Taking tribulus with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that Tribulus can lower blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes who are taking antidiabetes medications.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking tribulus with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that tribulus can lower blood pressure by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Tribulus has also demonstrated hypotensive effects in pre-hypertensive adults.
Lithium
Theoretically, tribulus might increase the levels and clinical effects of lithium.
Tribulus is thought to have diuretic properties. Due to these potential diuretic effects, tribulus might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
American Ginseng
Warfarin (Coumadin)
American ginseng seems to decrease the effectiveness of warfarin therapy.
Healthy patients receiving warfarin 5 mg daily, who also take American ginseng 1 gram twice daily, seem to have a significantly reduced international normalized ratio (INR).
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking American ginseng with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
American ginseng seems to lower postprandial blood glucose. Theoretically, concomitant use with antidiabetes drugs might enhance blood glucose lowering effects and possibly cause hypoglycemia.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, American ginseng use might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
American ginseng seems to stimulate immune function. Theoretically, American ginseng might decrease the effectiveness of immunosuppressant drugs.
Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (Maois)
Theoretically, American ginseng can interfere with MAOI therapy.
There is one case report of insomnia, headache, and tremors when an unspecified ginseng product was used with phenelzine (Nardil), an MAOI. There is also one case report of hypomania when an unspecified ginseng product was used with phenelzine. Theoretically, American ginseng may interfere with MAOI therapy.
