MycoForce Immunity Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by HealthForce
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking MycoForce Immunity against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of MycoForce Immunity by HealthForce
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
MycoForce Immunity contains four active ingredients, all mushroom extracts: shiitake, maitake, reishi, and chaga. Each has a history in traditional herbalism and contains compounds that research suggests may support immune function, though most clinical evidence remains limited.
The product also contains two inactive ingredients — shilajit (an inactive ingredient in this formula) and the capsule material itself (VeganCaps) — that serve as fillers or capsule material.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for what MycoForce Immunity can actually do is sparse. For shiitake mushroom, the data we hold shows insufficient evidence for cancer, breast cancer, chemotherapy-related anemia, and chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting; it's rated possibly ineffective for dental plaque.
For maitake mushroom, evidence is insufficient to rate its use for allergic rhinitis, chemotherapy-related anemia, laryngeal cancer, chemotherapy-related diarrhea, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Reishi mushroom is rated possibly ineffective for high cholesterol, with insufficient evidence for altitude sickness, Alzheimer's disease, and athletic performance.
Chaga has insufficient evidence for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and COVID-19. In short, the evidence supporting the use of this product for its marketed purpose isn't established in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These mushroom extracts are generally well tolerated orally, especially in food amounts, but concentrated supplements like those in this product carry some caution. Common side effects include mild gastrointestinal upset — bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and stomach discomfort — and less often dizziness, dry mouth, rash, or itching.
Raw shiitake mushroom can cause shiitake dermatitis (a distinctive skin rash), and handling shiitake extensively can trigger allergic reactions including asthma and breathing problems. Chaga carries a specific concern: excessive consumption (which contains high oxalate) has been linked in rare cases to kidney failure.
Long-term safety of these concentrated supplements has not been well studied. For pregnancy and breastfeeding, there isn't enough safety data for any of these ingredients, so they're best avoided in those situations — talk with your pharmacist or doctor for personalized advice.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take MycoForce Immunity, double-check it against these medication types with your pharmacist: blood thinners (anticoagulants) and antiplatelet drugs, medications that suppress your immune system (immunosuppressants), blood pressure medications, and diabetes drugs. These are the main ones documented in our data, with Moderate severity across the board.
No interactions are documented for any other medication types in the product's ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
MycoForce Immunity is a four-ingredient mushroom formula with interactions affecting over 600 medications. It's most important to check this product against blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, diabetes medications, and immune-suppressing drugs before you start.
The evidence that it does what the name suggests isn't yet established. Talk with your pharmacist before taking this, especially if you're on any prescription medication.

General Statements
For the last 5,000 years, Chinese herbalists have processed mushroom fruiting bodies via hot water extraction for tonic immune support. The fire-enhanced extraction process is essential in order to break down the tough, fibrous cell walls in mushrooms and thus render the beta-glucans (compounds which support the immune system) bioavailable. Fire-enhanced mushroom extracts are vastly superior to raw mushrooms. Some things are best raw, and some things need to be enhanced by fire. HealthForce knows the difference!

MycoForce Immunity by HealthForce Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
MycoForce Immunity by HealthForce contains four mushroom extracts, each with documented interactions affecting a wide range of medications.
Altogether, these interactions span 647 individual medications.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Shiitake mushroom extract carries the most serious concern: it may theoretically decrease the effects of immunosuppressive drugs (Moderate severity) by stimulating immune function in ways that could counteract those medications. It also may reduce blood levels of drugs broken down by the liver enzyme CYP2D6 (Moderate severity), a group that includes many common medications — though this effect has only been shown in lab studies, not yet in people.
Maitake mushroom extract interacts with blood pressure medications (Moderate), diabetes drugs (Moderate), and warfarin (a blood thinner; Moderate). It may lower blood pressure further and blood sugar further, and there's a case report of a patient on warfarin whose blood-thinning effect increased dangerously after taking maitake.
Reishi mushroom extract also affects blood pressure drugs, blood thinners, and diabetes medications — all Moderate severity — through similar mechanisms. Chaga extract has documented interactions with blood thinners, immunosuppressants, and diabetes drugs, all Moderate severity.
If you take any medications — especially blood thinners, drugs that suppress your immune system, blood pressure medications, or diabetes drugs — check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before starting MycoForce Immunity.

For each ingredient in MycoForce Immunity with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Reishi Mushroom extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, high doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding.
A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, reishi mushroom might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that reishi mushroom decreases blood sugar. However, in patients with type 2 diabetes, taking reishi mushroom does not reduce fasting glucose levels, and its effects on glycated hemoglobin are inconsistent.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concurrent use of reishi mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Reishi mushroom has shown hypotensive activity in animal research. Clinical evidence suggests that reishi mushroom reduces blood pressure in some, but not all, patients with hypertension.
Chaga extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, chaga may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that chaga extract can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking chaga with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research suggests that chaga might decrease blood glucose levels and increase insulin levels. This has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, chaga might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
In vitro research suggests that certain constituents of chaga stimulate immune function. This has not been reported in humans.
Shiitake Mushroom extract
Cytochrome P450 2D6 (Cyp2D6) Substrates
Theoretically, shiitake mushroom might decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro studies suggest that the shiitake mushroom extract AHCC might induce the CYP2D6 enzyme. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, taking shiitake mushroom might decrease the effects of immunosuppressive therapy.
In vitro evidence suggests that shiitake mushroom extracts stimulate immune function.
Maitake Mushroom extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that taking maitake mushroom polysaccharide (MMP) can lower blood glucose levels in patients with types 2 diabetes.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that maitake mushroom can lower blood pressure.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
There is limited evidence that maitake mushroom may increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
In a case report, a patient previously stabilized on warfarin developed an elevated international normalized ratio (INR) of 5.1 after taking maitake mushroom (Grifron-Pro Maitake D-Fraction) 1 drop/kg daily in three divided doses for one week. The elevated INR resolved after holding warfarin for two days, then reducing the dose by 11%. It is thought that the beta-glucan constituent of maitake mushroom might cause warfarin dissociation from proteins, resulting in increased free warfarin levels and increased warfarin effects.
