This product is pure beta-1,3-1,6-glucan, a type of carbohydrate naturally found in chaga mushroom. It's the one active ingredient and makes up the whole powder — there are no inactive fillers or binders listed.

The evidence we have shows beta-glucans are likely effective for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia) and coronary heart disease. That said, this product is marketed as chaga powder, and we don't have separate effectiveness data specific to the whole chaga mushroom — only for the beta-glucan it contains.
How safe is it?

Beta-glucans from food sources are generally well tolerated. Concentrated supplements like this one, though, haven't been studied as thoroughly at higher doses, so use caution.
In rare cases, very high oral doses have caused temporary liver enzyme changes in a small number of trial participants. There isn't enough research on supplement doses during breastfeeding to be sure either way, so talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist if you're nursing.
