What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Nitrocut against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What’s inside
Low disclosure
Nitrocut contains 12 active ingredients working together on blood flow and athletic support. You've got three B vitamins: B6, B12, and vitamin D3 (a hormone that supports mineral absorption and immune function).
The amino acid blend includes L-citrulline DL-malate and L-arginine monohydrate hydrochloride, which your body converts to support nitric oxide production—a molecule that relaxes blood vessel walls. Two herbal extracts round out the formula: Eurycoma longifolia (a Southeast Asian root used traditionally for vitality) and Avena sativa extract (oat extract, known for cardiovascular support).
Then there's Fenugreek extract and Tribulus terrestris leaf extract, both traditionally used to support athletic performance and sexual health. Two proprietary blends—Advanced 4X Nitric Oxide Boost and Natural Strength Booster—contain additional undisclosed ingredients.
The product also contains two inactive ingredients: vegetable cellulose and magnesium stearate.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed. Avena sativa (oat) extract has solid support—it's likely effective for lowering cholesterol and supporting heart health.
Vitamin B6 is effective for treating low B6 levels and certain types of anemia, and possibly effective for morning sickness. Vitamin B12 is effective for B12 deficiency.
Vitamin D3 is effective for treating rickets, osteomalacia, and certain conditions involving low calcium. For the herbal and amino acid ingredients, the evidence is less clear.
L-citrulline is possibly effective for athletic performance but possibly ineffective for muscle loss (sarcopenia). Fenugreek is possibly effective for sexual function, sexual arousal, and diabetes.
Tribulus is possibly effective for sexual dysfunction but possibly ineffective for athletic performance. Eurycoma longifolia is possibly effective for sexual desire.
For many conditions—including heart disease, heart failure, and diabetes—the evidence on these ingredients is either insufficient or not rated. The proprietary blend components haven't been disclosed, so we can't evaluate their effectiveness.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Most of these ingredients are generally well tolerated at standard doses. Vitamin B6, B12, and D3 are safe at normal amounts, though very high doses of B6 over time can damage nerves (sensory neuropathy), and excessive vitamin D can cause toxicity with high blood calcium.
Oat extract is safe as a food and generally considered safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding. L-citrulline and L-arginine are usually well tolerated but may cause stomach discomfort, heartburn, bloating, nausea, or headache.
There's not enough data on L-citrulline in pregnancy or breastfeeding to say it's safe—avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise. L-arginine is possibly safe in pregnancy but safety while breastfeeding is unknown.
Eurycoma longifolia, Fenugreek, Tribulus, and Raspberry Ketone all have limited long-term safety data. Fenugreek should be avoided in pregnancy (medicinal doses may affect the uterus) but is possibly safe while breastfeeding in amounts used to boost milk supply.
Eurycoma and Tribulus should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding due to possible hormonal effects and lack of data. Raspberry ketone is not well studied at high supplement doses and should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The rare serious adverse effects include nerve damage from high-dose B6, severe allergic reactions to fenugreek, and in isolated cases, liver or kidney injury with Tribulus.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Nitrocut, double-check it with your pharmacist if you take seizure medications (phenobarbital, phenytoin), blood pressure drugs, blood thinners (warfarin, clopidogrel) or antiplatelet agents, diabetes medications, heart rhythm medications (digoxin, verapamil, diltiazem, amiodarone), cholesterol-lowering statins, potassium-sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, lithium, theophylline, or stimulant drugs. The interactions range from Major to Minor severity—some could reduce how well your medication works, while others could increase side effects or cause dangerously low blood sugar or high potassium.
If you're unsure about any of your medicines, use the interaction checker on this page.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Nitrocut is a multi-ingredient product aimed at blood flow and athletic support, with some solid evidence behind oat extract and the B vitamins but less certainty around the herbal and amino acid components. If you take any blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, blood thinners, heart rhythm drugs, or seizure medications, you need to check this product against your specific prescriptions before starting—the ingredient list is complex and several components interact with common drugs.
Talk to your pharmacist before adding this to your routine, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a chronic condition.

Nitrocut by Nitrocut Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Nitrocut contains 12 ingredients, and several of them interact with medications.
The most serious interaction we've documented is with vitamin B6 and phenobarbital or phenytoin (seizure medications): high doses of B6 may reduce how well these drugs work by speeding up how your body breaks them down.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Vitamin D3 has the broadest interaction profile. It can increase the risk of dangerously high blood calcium (hypercalcemia) when combined with thiazide water pills or the heart rhythm drug digoxin; it may weaken cholesterol-lowering statins like atorvastatin; and it could reduce the effectiveness of heart drugs like verapamil and diltiazem.
Both L-citrulline and L-arginine can lower blood pressure on their own and may add to the effects of blood pressure medications, potentially causing dizziness or fainting. L-arginine also theoretically raises potassium levels and could interact with potassium-sparing water pills or ACE inhibitors and ARBs (which also raise potassium), and it may thin the blood in combination with anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs.
Fenugreek and Tribulus terrestris both interact with diabetes medications and could increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Fenugreek also interacts with blood thinners like warfarin and clopidogrel, the heart drug theophylline, seizure medication phenytoin, the beta-blocker metoprolol, and the erectile dysfunction drug sildenafil.
Tribulus can add to blood pressure-lowering effects and theoretically increase lithium levels. Eurycoma longifolia reduces the effectiveness of the beta-blocker propranolol.
Raspberry ketone may increase the risk of heart palpitations or arrhythmias when used with stimulant drugs, and it may interfere with warfarin's blood-thinning action.
We could not check L-arginine-alphaketoglutarate or L-arginine-ketoisocaproate because we hold no data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 1,145 individual medications.

Vitamin D3
Aluminum
Vitamin D might increase aluminum absorption and toxicity, but this has only been reported in people with renal failure.
The protein that transports calcium across the intestinal wall can also bind and transport aluminum. This protein is stimulated by vitamin D, which may therefore increase aluminum absorption. This mechanism may contribute to increased aluminum levels and toxicity in people with renal failure, when they take vitamin D and aluminum-containing phosphate binders chronically.
Atorvastatin (Lipitor)
Vitamin D might reduce absorption of atorvastatin.
A small, low-quality clinical study shows that taking vitamin D reduces levels of atorvastatin and its active metabolites by up to 55%. However, while atorvastatin levels decreased, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels did not substantially change. Atorvastatin is metabolized in the gut by CYP3A4 enzymes, and researchers theorized that vitamin D might induce CYP3A4, causing reduced levels of atorvastatin. However, this proposed mechanism was not specifically studied.
Calcipotriene (Dovonex)
Taking calcipotriene with vitamin D increases the risk for hypercalcemia.
Calcipotriene is a vitamin D analog used topically for psoriasis. It can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to cause systemic effects, including hypercalcemia. Theoretically, combining calcipotriene with vitamin D supplements might increase the risk of hypercalcemia.
Digoxin (Lanoxin)
Theoretically, hypercalcemia induced by high-dose vitamin D can increase the risk of arrhythmia from digoxin.
High doses of vitamin D can cause hypercalcemia. Hypercalcemia increases the risk of fatal cardiac arrhythmias with digoxin. Avoid vitamin D doses above the tolerable upper intake level (4000 IU daily for adults) and monitor serum calcium levels in people taking vitamin D and digoxin concurrently.
Diltiazem (Cardizem, Others)
Theoretically, hypercalcemia induced by high-dose vitamin D can reduce the therapeutic effects of diltiazem for arrhythmia.
High doses of vitamin D can cause hypercalcemia. Hypercalcemia can reduce the effectiveness of verapamil in atrial fibrillation. Theoretically this could also occur with diltiazem. Avoid vitamin D doses above the tolerable upper intake level (4000 IU daily for adults) and monitor serum calcium levels in people taking vitamin D and diltiazem concurrently.
Thiazide Diuretics
Theoretically, taking thiazide diuretics and high-dose vitamin D can increase the risk of hypercalcemia.
Thiazide diuretics decrease urinary calcium excretion, which could lead to hypercalcemia if vitamin D supplements are taken concurrently. This has been reported in people being treated with vitamin D for hypoparathyroidism, and also in elderly people with normal parathyroid function who were taking a thiazide, vitamin D, and calcium-containing antacids daily.
Verapamil (Calan, Others)
Hypercalcemia induced by high-dose vitamin D can reduce the therapeutic effects of verapamil for arrhythmia.
Hypercalcemia due to high doses of vitamin D can reduce the effectiveness of verapamil in atrial fibrillation. Avoid vitamin D doses above the tolerable upper intake level (4000 IU daily for adults) and monitor serum calcium levels in people taking vitamin D and verapamil concurrently.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Vitamin D might induce CYP3A4 enzymes and reduce the bioavailability of CYP3A4 substrates.
There is some concern that vitamin D might induce CYP3A4. In vitro research suggests that vitamin D induces CYP3A4 transcription. Additionally, observational research has found that increased UV light exposure and serum vitamin D levels are associated with decreased serum levels of CYP3A4 substrates such as tacrolimus and sirolimus, while no association between UV light exposure or vitamin D levels and levels of mycophenolic acid, a non-CYP3A4 substrate, was found. A small, low-quality clinical study shows that taking vitamin D reduces levels of the CYP3A4 substrate atorvastatin and its active metabolites by up to 55%; however, the clinical effects of atorvastatin were not reduced. While researchers theorized that vitamin D might induce CYP3A4, this proposed mechanism was not specifically studied.
L-Arginine Monohydrate Hydrochloride
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-arginine and ACE inhibitors may increase the risk for hypotension and hyperkalemia.
Combining L-arginine with some antihypertensive drugs, especially ACE inhibitors, seems to have additive vasodilating and blood pressure-lowering effects. Furthermore, ACE inhibitors can increase potassium levels. Use of L-arginine has been associated with hyperkalemia in some patients. Theoretically, concomitant use of ACE inhibitors with L-arginine may increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (Arbs)
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-arginine and ARBs may increase the risk of hypotension and hyperkalemia.
L-arginine increases nitric oxide, which causes vasodilation. Combining L-arginine with ARBs seems to increase L-arginine-induced vasodilation. Furthermore, ARBs can increase potassium levels. Use of L-arginine has been associated with hyperkalemia in some patients. Theoretically, concomitant use of ARBs with L-arginine may increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-arginine with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of bleeding.
Preliminary research suggests that L-arginine infusions reduce platelet aggregation in humans. The clinical significance of this effect is unclear.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-arginine might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Preliminary clinical research shows that L-arginine decreases blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-arginine and antihypertensive drugs may increase the risk of hypotension.
L-arginine increases nitric oxide, which causes vasodilation. Clinical evidence shows that L-arginine can reduce blood pressure in some individuals with hypertension. Furthermore, combining L-arginine with some antihypertensive drugs seems to have additive vasodilating and blood pressure-lowering effects.
Isoproterenol (Isuprel)
Theoretically, concurrent use of isoproterenol and L-arginine might result in additive effects and hypotension.
Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that L-arginine enhances isoproterenol-induced vasodilation in patients with essential hypertension or a family history of essential hypertension.
Potassium-Sparing Diuretics
Theoretically concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics with L-arginine may increases the risk of hyperkalemia.
Potassium-sparing diuretics can increase potassium levels. Use of L-arginine has been associated with hyperkalemia in some patients.
Sildenafil (Viagra)
Theoretically, concurrent use of sildenafil and L-arginine might increase the risk for hypotension.
In vivo, concurrent use of L-arginine and sildenafil has resulted in increased vasodilation. Theoretically, concurrent use might have additive vasodilatory and hypotensive effects. However, in studies evaluating the combined use of L-arginine and sildenafil for erectile dysfunction, hypotension was not reported.
Testosterone
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-arginine and testosterone might have additive effects.
In clinical research, L-arginine increases the level of testosterone in male patients with erectile dysfunction. The clinical significance of this finding is unclear.
Fenugreek extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, fenugreek might have additive effects when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Some of the constituents in fenugreek have antiplatelet effects in animal and in vitro research. However, common fenugreek products might not contain sufficient concentrations of these constituents for clinical effects. A clinical study in patients with coronary artery disease or diabetes shows that taking fenugreek seed powder 2.5 grams twice daily for 3 months does not affect platelet aggregation, fibrinolytic activity, or fibrinogen levels .
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, fenugreek seed might have additive hypoglycemic effects when used with antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that fenugreek seed can reduce fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Clopidogrel (Plavix)
Theoretically, fenugreek seed might alter the clinical effects of clopidogrel by inhibiting its conversion to the active form.
Animal research shows that fenugreek seed 200 mg/kg daily for 14 days increases the maximum serum concentration of clopidogrel by 21%. It is unclear how this affects the pharmacokinetics of the active metabolite of clopidogrel; however, this study found that concomitant use of fenugreek seed and clopidogrel prolonged bleeding time by an additional 11%.
Metoprolol (Toprol)
Theoretically, fenugreek seed might have additive hypotensive effects when used with metoprolol.
Animal research shows that fenugreek seed 300 mg/kg daily for 2 weeks decreases systolic and diastolic blood pressure by 9% and 11%, respectively, when administered alone, and by 15% and 22%, respectively, when given with metoprolol 10 mg/kg.
Phenytoin (Dilantin)
Theoretically, fenugreek might decrease plasma levels of phenytoin.
Animal research shows that taking fenugreek seeds for 1 week decreases maximum concentrations and the area under the curve of a single dose of phenytoin by 44% and 72%, respectively. This seems to be related to increased clearance. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Sildenafil (Viagra)
Theoretically, concurrent use of sildenafil and fenugreek might reduce levels and therapeutic effects of sildenafil.
Animal research shows that taking fenugreek seeds for 1 week reduces maximum concentrations and the area under the curve of a single dose of sildenafil by 27% and 48%, respectively. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Theophylline
Theoretically, fenugreek may reduce the levels and clinical effects of theophylline.
Animal research shows that fenugreek 50 grams daily for 7 days reduces the maximum serum concentration (Cmax) of theophylline by 28% and the area under the plasma drug concentration-time curve (AUC) by 22%.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, fenugreek might have additive effects with warfarin and increase the international normalized ratio (INR).
Some fenugreek constituents have antiplatelet effects, although these might not be present in concentrations that are clinically significant. In one case report, a patient taking warfarin experienced an increased INR when starting to take fenugreek in combination with boldo.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Fenugreek may also have an additive effect on blood pressure-lowering medications. Studies on animals have shown that fenugreek seed can decrease both systolic and diastolic blood pressure by up to 22% when combined with metoprolol. Therefore, it is essential to monitor your blood pressure regularly if you are taking fenugreek and metoprolol together or any other antihypertensive drugs.
Tribulus terrestris (leaf) extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Taking tribulus with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that Tribulus can lower blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes who are taking antidiabetes medications.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking tribulus with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that tribulus can lower blood pressure by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Tribulus has also demonstrated hypotensive effects in pre-hypertensive adults.
Lithium
Theoretically, tribulus might increase the levels and clinical effects of lithium.
Tribulus is thought to have diuretic properties. Due to these potential diuretic effects, tribulus might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
Eurycoma longifolia extract
Propranolol (Inderal)
Eurycoma longifolia can reduce the levels and clinical effects of propranolol.
A small clinical study in healthy persons shows that taking a single dose of a water-based Eurycoma longifolia extract 200 mg, in combination with a single dose of propranolol 80 mg, reduces the propranolol area under the curve (AUC) by 29%, reduces the peak concentration by 42%, and increases time to peak concentration by 86% when compared with control. Since the elimination half-life of propranolol did not change, it seems that Eurycoma longifolia alters the kinetics of propranolol by decreasing its absorption in the gut, and not by altering its metabolism. It is not known if separating administration will prevent this interaction.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia might increase levels CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that methanolic Eurycoma longifolia root extract weakly inhibits CYP1A2 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia might increase levels of CYP2A6 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that methanolic Eurycoma longifolia root extract weakly inhibits CYP2A6 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia might increase levels of CYP2C19 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that methanolic Eurycoma longifolia root extract weakly inhibits CYP2C19 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Testosterone
Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia may further increase levels of testosterone.
A clinical study in aging males with testosterone levels below 300 ng/dL shows that taking a specific water extract of Eurycoma longifolia roots (Physta; Biotropics Malaysia) 100-200 mg daily with breakfast for 12 weeks increases total testosterone levels by 8% to 11% when compared with placebo. It is unclear whether this increase would occur in individuals with normal testosterone levels.
Vitamin B6
Amiodarone (Cordarone)
Theoretically, vitamin B6 might increase the photosensitivity caused by amiodarone.
Despite initial case reports suggesting that pyridoxine may have a protective effect against amiodarone-induced photosensitivity, preliminary clinical research suggests that pyridoxine may actually exacerbate this adverse effect.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, vitamin B6 may have additive effects when used with antihypertensive drugs.
Research in hypertensive rats shows that vitamin B6 can decrease systolic blood pressure. Similarly, clinical research in patients with hypertension shows that taking high doses of vitamin B6 may reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure, possibly by reducing plasma levels of epinephrine and norepinephrine.
Phenobarbital (Luminal)
High doses of vitamin B6 may reduce the levels and clinical effects of phenobarbital.
Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that vitamin B6 200 mg daily can reduce plasma levels of phenobarbital, possibly by increasing metabolism. It is not known whether lower doses have any effect. Advise people taking phenobarbital to avoid high doses of vitamin B6.
Phenytoin (Dilantin)
High doses of vitamin B6 may reduce the levels and clinical effects of phenytoin.
Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that vitamin B6 200 mg daily can reduce plasma levels of phenytoin, possibly by increasing metabolism. It is not known whether lower doses have any effect. Advise people taking phenytoin to avoid high doses of vitamin B6.
Levodopa
Vitamin B6 may increase the metabolism of levodopa when taken alone, but not when taken in conjunction with carbidopa.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) enhances the metabolism of levodopa, reducing its clinical effects. However, this interaction does not occur when carbidopa is used concurrently with levodopa (Sinemet). Therefore, it is not likely to be a problem in most people.
L-Citrulline DL-Malate
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-citrulline with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the chance of hypotension.
L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine, which can increase nitric oxide and cause vasodilation. However, a meta-analysis of 5 small clinical studies suggests that taking L-citrulline 3-6 grams daily for 1-8 weeks does not lower blood pressure when compared with control.
Phosphodiesterase-5 Inhibitors
Theoretically, concurrent use of phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors and L-citrulline might result in additive vasodilation.
L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine, which can increase nitric oxide and cause vasodilation. Theoretically, taking L-arginine with PDE-5 inhibitors might have additive vasodilatory and hypotensive effects. However, in studies evaluating the combined use of L-arginine and sildenafil for erectile dysfunction, hypotension was not reported.
Razberi-K
Stimulant Drugs
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.
Avena sativa extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, oats may have additive effects with antidiabetic agents and might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Consuming oats can decrease blood glucose in patients with diabetes. In those who require insulin, taking oats 100 grams daily for 2 days reduces the insulin dose required to achieve metabolic control.
Insulin
Concomitant use of oats and insulin might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In patients with insulin-dependent type 2 diabetes, taking oats 100 grams daily for 2 days reduces the insulin dose required to achieve metabolic control.
Vitamin B12
Metformin (Glucophage)
Metformin, a common medication used to manage type 2 diabetes, has been associated with lower vitamin B12 levels in some individuals. Prolonged use of metformin can interfere with the absorption of B12 in the digestive system, potentially leading to a deficiency in this essential vitamin.
