What’s inside
Full disclosure
Peak K2 contains one active ingredient: vitamin K2. This is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a role in blood clotting and bone health.
The capsule also contains organic rice as an inactive ingredient.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Vitamin K2 is effective for treating vitamin K-dependent clotting factor deficiency and hemorrhagic disease (a bleeding disorder), and for correcting hypoprothrombinemia (a low level of a key clotting protein). For osteoporosis, the evidence is possibly effective—meaning there's some promise, but it's not yet conclusive.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Orally, vitamin K is generally well tolerated in healthy people. The most common side effects are mild gastrointestinal ones—nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, and abdominal pain.
Serious reactions are rare. During pregnancy and lactation, vitamin K is considered likely safe.
That said, the safety notes advise you to check with your doctor before taking supplements, even though normal dietary amounts are fine.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Before taking Peak K2, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take warfarin (Coumadin) or any other blood thinner. Vitamin K can reduce how well these medications work, which is a Major-level concern.
No other drug interactions are documented in our data for the ingredient we checked.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Peak K2 may be worth considering if you have a vitamin K deficiency or are interested in bone health support, but it's not suitable if you take warfarin or similar blood thinners without medical oversight. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about your medications and medical history before starting—especially if you're on any blood thinner.
