How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated in studies, though long-term safety hasn't been fully worked out. The most common side effects are flatulence, stomach upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea — stomach issues can show up at doses of 200–300 mg per day, and insomnia is more likely at higher doses around 600 mg.
There isn't enough safety information for pregnancy, so it's best to avoid it while pregnant. Safety while breastfeeding is unknown as well, so avoidance is recommended.
