Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Project Hulk contains 3 active ingredients. Maral Root Extract is included for potential athletic performance support, though the evidence is currently insufficient to rate its effectiveness.
Ajuga turkestanica Whole Plant Extract is listed for potential cough-related benefits, but again, evidence is insufficient to rate how well it works. (-)-Epicatechin is the third ingredient. The capsules also contain several inactive ingredients — gelatin, dicalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide — which are fillers and binders that hold the formula together.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence isn't established in our data for any of the active ingredients in this product. Maral Root Extract is rated as having insufficient reliable evidence for athletic performance.
Ajuga turkestanica is rated as having insufficient reliable evidence for cough. We don't have effectiveness data on file for (-)-Epicatechin.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both Maral Root Extract and Ajuga turkestanica carry significant safety cautions. Maral Root has limited human safety data, so use it carefully and under professional guidance.
Ajuga turkestanica has not been reliably studied in humans; most common side effects reported are diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. There is also a rare report of acute kidney failure in one person with pre-existing liver cirrhosis who ingested a large amount (about 45 grams) of the whole plant.
Neither ingredient has enough safety information for pregnancy or breastfeeding — the data advises against use in both. We don't have safety data on file for (-)-Epicatechin.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take blood thinners or antiplatelet medications — including aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), NSAIDs like diclofenac, and similar drugs — double-check with your pharmacist before adding this product. Maral Root Extract may increase bleeding risk (Moderate severity).
No other medication interactions are documented for the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Project Hulk is positioned for athletic performance, but the evidence for its ingredients isn't established. If you take blood thinners, antiplatelet drugs, or any other prescription medications, check them against this product before starting.
The limited human safety data and lack of pregnancy/breastfeeding information mean you should talk with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
In vitro research shows that maral root tincture can reduce platelet aggregation. Theoretically, maral root might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs. Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
