Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: riboflavin (also called vitamin B2), a B vitamin your body needs to turn food into energy and keep your skin, eyes, and nervous system healthy. At 250 mg per tablet, it's a straightforward single-ingredient supplement.

The inactive ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, di-calcium phosphate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, stearic acid, rice bran, magnesium stearate, silica, and pharmaceutical glaze — these are fillers, binders, and capsule materials that help form and preserve the tablet.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
General wellness

This Riboflavin product is marketed for general wellness, not a specific health condition, so there's no single claim to grade — see Riboflavin's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets general wellness (“energy support”), not a specific health condition, so there is no single claim to grade against clinical-evidence data.

We don't hold effectiveness data for riboflavin in our monograph, so we can't tell you what clinical evidence supports its use.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Riboflavin is very well tolerated and considered very safe — your body removes excess through your urine. The most common side effects at higher doses are nausea and bright yellow urine discoloration, which are harmless and temporary.

Rarely, diarrhea or increased urination have been reported. Riboflavin is needed during pregnancy and breastfeeding and is generally safe at normal recommended amounts.

Because this is a high-dose supplement (250 mg is well above typical daily needs), talk with your doctor or midwife before using it in pregnancy or while nursing.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Riboflavin.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • For scale: 20 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Check your exact medications if you take tetracycline antibiotics (such as doxycycline or minocycline) — riboflavin may theoretically reduce how well they work, though this hasn't been confirmed in patients. Use the search tool on this page to verify your specific drugs.
