Zyme Prime contains nine active ingredients, most of them digestive enzymes that work in your gut to break down different parts of food. Lipase breaks down fats; phytase works on plant compounds; hemicellulase, amylase, glucoamylase, and alpha-galactosidase each target different carbohydrates and fiber; protease breaks down proteins; and lactase helps digest milk sugar.
The product also contains inactive ingredients—hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, medium-chain triglyceride powder, and water—which are fillers and capsule materials.

The evidence on these enzymes is mixed. Lactase is effective for lactose intolerance—that one's well established.
