Clinical
Green Guard Antiseptic is a topical spray containing benzalkonium chloride, a quaternary ammonium compound commonly used as an antimicrobial agent in over-the-counter antiseptic products. This product is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established rules for antiseptic sprays rather than undergoing individual product review. Benzalkonium chloride is typically used to reduce bacteria on skin surfaces when applied topically.
