Clinical
This is a topical ointment containing two antibiotic ingredients: bacitracin zinc and polymyxin B sulfate. Both are commonly used in over-the-counter first-aid products to help prevent bacterial infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. The ointment is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established rules for this class of topical antibiotic products rather than being reviewed as an individual application.
