🩺 Clinical
Acetaminophen is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever. Acetaminophen is in a class of medications called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). It works by changing the way the body senses pain and by cooling the body.
Read the full MedlinePlus article ↗This is an over-the-counter film-coated tablet taken by mouth. It contains acetaminophen, a pain reliever and fever reducer, combined with diphenhydramine hydrochloride, an antihistamine commonly used to relieve allergy symptoms like sneezing, itching, and runny nose. The product is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA guidelines for this category of combination pain and allergy relief tablets rather than being individually approved through a separate application. The tablet form makes it convenient for oral use.
