🩺 Clinical

Benzalkonium chloride is commonly used in bar and liquid soaps as an antibacterial ingredient intended to reduce bacteria on the skin during washing. The product is marketed as part of the FDA's OTC monograph category for antibacterial soaps, which means it follows established safety and efficacy guidelines for that drug class rather than undergoing individual review.
