Clinical
This is a topical cream containing petrolatum as its active ingredient. Petrolatum is commonly used as an occlusive moisturizer and skin protectant that forms a barrier on the skin to help retain moisture and protect against minor irritation. The product is formulated as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under FDA's established category rules for skin protectants and moisturizers. The cream base is enriched with cocoa butter for additional conditioning.
