Clinical
- Quinapril lowers high blood pressure, which helps reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. It's also used along with other medicines, like diuretics, to manage heart failure.
- Take it by mouth as your prescriber directs, usually once or twice a day. A high-fat meal can reduce how much is absorbed, so ask me about timing with food. It can take 1 to 2 week...
- Headache, dizziness, tiredness, a dry cough and an upset stomach are the most common, and they're usually mild. Call your doctor if they bother you or don't go away.
- Swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat, or trouble breathing needs emergency care right away. Also call your doctor for yellow skin or eyes, fainting, or severe belly pain.

About this NDC listing & data coverage
This is a bulk ingredient listing — not a retail prescription package
Quinapril Hydrochloride 50 kg/50kg POWDER is listed with FDA as a bulk ingredient (a drug substance supplied for further manufacturing or licensed pharmacy compounding). It is not a finished product a patient would receive at a retail pharmacy, so consumer-style information — a patient label, retail pricing, package photos — generally does not exist for this NDC. The listing identifies the substance and package for supply-chain and regulatory purposes.
