Clinical
- Quinapril lowers high blood pressure, which helps reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. It's also used along with other medicines, like diuretics, to manage heart failure.
- Take it by mouth as your prescriber directs, usually once or twice a day. A high-fat meal can reduce how much is absorbed, so ask me about timing with food. It can take 1 to 2 week...
- Headache, dizziness, tiredness, a dry cough and an upset stomach are the most common, and they're usually mild. Call your doctor if they bother you or don't go away.
- Swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat, or trouble breathing needs emergency care right away. Also call your doctor for yellow skin or eyes, fainting, or severe belly pain.

About this NDC listing & data coverage
What "drug for further processing" means
FDA lists this package under the "drug for further processing" marketing category: Aurobindo Pharma Limited supplies it to other companies for further processing or repackaging (blister cards that are later repackaged or co-packaged are a common example). The units themselves are a finished dosage form — which is why pricing or Medicaid data can still appear — but this exact package code may not be the presentation a retail pharmacy dispenses.
