Clinical
Listerine Cool Mint is an over-the-counter mouthwash containing four active ingredients: eucalyptol, menthol, methyl salicylate, and thymol. These ingredients are commonly used together in oral rinses for their antimicrobial and flavoring properties. Menthol and eucalyptol provide a cooling sensation and fresh taste, while methyl salicylate and thymol are typically included for their antiseptic effects. This product is marketed under FDA's OTC monograph rules for mouthwash products.
