Clinical
Curacid Dermal is an over-the-counter topical ointment containing petrolatum and cod liver oil. Petrolatum functions as an occlusive moisturizer and skin protectant, while cod liver oil is commonly used in topical products for its potential skin-conditioning properties. This ointment is marketed for use on cuts and burns as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is formulated under FDA's established rules for this category of over-the-counter skin care products.
