💊 About Doxycycline Injection DRUG GUIDE
Doxycycline for Injection is used intravenously to treat serious bacterial infections when oral antibiotic therapy is not an option.
It covers a wide range of infections, including Rocky Mountain spotted fever and other rickettsial illnesses, Mycoplasma pneumoniae respiratory infections, psittacosis, lymphogranuloma venereum, relapsing fever, cholera, brucellosis, tularemia, plague, and inhalational anthrax (including post-exposure prevention).It is also used for certain sexually transmitted infections (such as syphilis and gonorrhea when penicillin cannot be used), trachoma, and some intestinal, skin, and soft-tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Doxycycline for Injection should be used only for infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria sensitive to it, in order to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
