Coadministration of oral metFORMIN and patiromer significantly reduced the systemic exposure of metFORMIN by decreasing the gastrointestinal absorption of metFORMIN which may result in reduced glycemic control. If concomitant use of oral metFORMIN with patiromer is necessary, administer oral metFORMIN at least 3 hours before or 3 hours after patiromer1.
