Methyltestosterone Buccal falls under TESTOSTERONE — the group 1-androsterone interacts with.
1-Androsterone is converted to 1-testosterone and other androgens upon ingestion.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: methyltestosterone is itself a male hormone (an androgen), and 1-androsterone turns into androgens in your body too. So you're essentially stacking two testosterone-like products on top of each other. That doesn't change how either one is broken down so much as it piles the same effects together, and that's the concern.
With double the androgen load, you may be more likely to see things like acne, oily skin, mood swings or irritability, fluid retention, and over time added strain on the liver, kidneys, and heart. Methyltestosterone in particular is known to be hard on the liver. To be fair, this warning is theoretical, based on how these hormones act rather than firm human studies, but it makes good sense to avoid combining them.
