Tirofiban falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Arnica interacts with.

Theoretically, arnica might have additive effects with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs. Homeopathic arnica preparations are unlikely to have this interaction.
In vitro evidence shows that sesquiterpene lactones in arnica flowers can decrease platelet aggregation. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Tirofiban (Aggrastat) is a strong IV blood thinner given in the hospital, usually during heart procedures or for certain heart attacks. It works by stopping your platelets from clumping together, which already raises your risk of bleeding and bruising. The concern here is that arnica, in lab studies, also seems to make platelets less sticky. Stacked together, the worry is a little extra bleeding risk.

In real life, this is mostly theoretical. The platelet effect has only been seen in test tubes, not in people, and watered-down homeopathic arnica almost certainly won't matter. Since tirofiban is hospital-managed, your care team is already watching your bleeding closely. Still, tell them about any arnica product you've used so nothing surprises them.

What Is Tirofiban Used For?

Brand name: Aggrastat

Tirofiban hydrochloride injection — available as Aggrastat and under the generic names Tirofiban and Tirofiban Hydrochloride — is used intravenously in people with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS), a type of unstable heart condition where blood flow to the heart is dangerously reduced.

The goal is to lower the combined risk of death, heart attack (myocardial infarction), or persistent ischemia (insufficient blood flow to the heart) that may require a repeat cardiac procedure.
