ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine
Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Asafoetida interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Prestalia teams up two blood pressure lowerers: perindopril, an ACE inhibitor, and amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. Both relax your blood vessels to bring numbers down. The thinking here is that asafoetida may have its own mild blood pressure lowering effect, so piling it on top could push your readings a little lower than expected.
If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when standing up quickly. I want to be honest though: this comes only from animal studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than something proven in people. Everyday cooking amounts of asafoetida are very unlikely to matter. If you're considering a concentrated supplement, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
