Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Black Mustard interacts with.

Here's the thing that makes this pairing a bit unusual. Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is an emergency rescue medicine. You only reach for it when blood sugar drops dangerously low, and its whole job is to raise your sugar by telling your liver to dump stored glucose into the blood. Black mustard, on the other hand, may gently lower blood sugar, at least in animal studies, so in theory it could work against dasiglucagon's rescue effect.

In practice, I wouldn't lose sleep over this one. The evidence is purely theoretical, and mustard used as a food or a topical rub almost certainly won't matter. The bigger picture is that anything nudging your sugar lower could mean you need that rescue dose more often. If you take concentrated mustard supplements, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Dasiglucagon Injection Used For?

Brand name: Zegalogue

Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) is used to treat severe hypoglycemia — dangerously low blood sugar — in adults and children aged 6 years and older who have diabetes. It is a rescue medication meant to be used in emergencies when a person cannot eat or drink to raise their blood sugar on their own.

Zegalogue is available as a subcutaneous (under-the-skin) injection and is given by a caregiver or the patient themselves as soon as severe hypoglycemia is recognized. Emergency medical help should be called immediately after using it.
