ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Acenocoumarol
Acenocoumarol falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Blood Irradiation Therapy interacts with.
Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Acenocoumarol (Sintrom) is a blood thinner that lowers your blood's ability to clot, so it already raises your bleeding risk on its own. Here's the concern: some early research hints that blood irradiation therapy may make platelets a little less sticky, and a few case reports describe things like nosebleeds. Pair that with Sintrom and you could, in theory, tip the balance toward too much thinning, meaning easier bruising, bleeding gums, nosebleeds, or harder-to-stop bleeding.
I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical worry based on how things might work, not proven from strong studies. Still, because acenocoumarol has a narrow safety window, I'd play it safe. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist before combining them so your INR can be watched closely.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Acenocoumarol page
“Acenocoumarol (Sintrom) is a blood thinner in the warfarin family, and it lives in a narrow zone where a little too much means bleeding and a little too little means clots. So treat its 221 supplement interactions as a real safety issue, not fine print.”

About Blood Irradiation Therapy
What is Blood Irradiation Therapy?
- Chronic infections
- Immune support
- Fatigue and general wellness
- Inflammatory conditions
- Circulatory complaints
Blood Irradiation Therapy is a medical procedure—not a dietary supplement or herb—in which blood is exposed to ultraviolet or laser light, either outside the body and re-infused or by an intravenous light device. It is not approved by the U.S. FDA for treating any disease, and high-quality evidence supporting modern claims is very limited. If you are considering it, talk with a qualified physician and treat any clinic marketing it for serious illness with strong caution.
